JINGLE ALERT (PART 2): Zilizopendwa

This post is all about the sounds of Christmas in the 80s, when everyone listened to pretty much the same kind of music because we only had one broadcasting station, VOK. The music was soulful and the crackling sounds of the LP aged it even further. The music was rich and deep. Listening to it right now, it takes me back to christmas tree decorating,
writing and posting christmas cards and roasting maize at the fireplace in shagz. I remember my parent's AKAI system belting out Jim Reeves, Boney M and others. Nostalgia kicking in...

Mary's Boy Child by Boney M

White Christmas by Frank Sinatra

I'll be Home for Christmas by Tony Bennett

Silver Bells by Jim Reeves

Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano

Merry Christmas, friends!
